Here we are at Memorial Day weekend, which seems like is the official kickoff to summer. (I'm still trying to figure out what happened to spring!)
This week we talked about the Helpful Habits (book 3) and the habits that help us stay successful during the summer months.
First off, maybe you have "learned from experience" that summer events and the foods that go with them are not always friendly to you weight loss goals. Take what you have learned about yourself and apply it to your weight loss this summer.
"Prepare yourself" means expecting the unexpected: recognizing potential moments of difficulty and preparing yourself to handle them.
Maybe you need to "ask for help". What type of help will you need at the picnic? Who might you need to ask for help? Using the asserting tool can help you ask for help in a positive way. Don't expect people to read your mind.
"Take care of yourself" means valuing your own needs as much as the needs of your family, work and friends.
If you haven't taken the Habit Profile in book 3 then get out your materials and do it. If it has been awhile since you've taken the profile "quiz" then take it again and see if there has been improvement on your healthy habits:)
"Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going."
Have a successful weight loss weekend!!
