I heard a blurb on the radio this morning that one in five 4 year olds are considered obese, according to a study by the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. Wow, that is really scary to think that not only are we, as adults, fighting the weight problem, we are raising a generation of kids with weight problems. ( we really already knew that, but 4years old?!)
Just remember when you are tempted to eat some high calorie snack loaded with saturated fat and sugar, that you are a role model also. You know you don't want your children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, to be fighting a weight problem all their life.
Make the correct decision to influence those around you to eat less and move more! Go for a walk with the kids, play ball with them, go for a nature walk, and have some fun outdoors.
Your bad habits do not just affect you.
