Is losing weight and getting healthy important to you? How important? Are you willing to give yourself more than you have been? For many of us who are moms, grandmothers, and caretakers we give so much of ourselves to others that there isn't much left.
I am not talking about being selfish, I'm talking about taking time, making time, to do things for yourself that you know will be improving your life and therefore the life of those around you. It can give you a sense of empowerment and personal responsibility in the weight-loss process. It can also help you maintain your enthusiasm and stay focused.
You can hire a personal trainer or a repairman. But you cannot hire someone to take care of you and make sure your needs are being met. Only you can do that for yourself.
That is a big thing to sink in!
Most of what came up at the meeting today was "finding" time to prepare and do the necessary tasks associated with WW. If you keep waiting for time to find you, let me tell you right now, it won't happen.
Think about this: How much time do you need daily to be successful at weight loss?
15 minutes?
30 minutes?
1 hour?
2hours?
If this is important to you, you will either find a way to streamline the process or you will make time.
It's not all about preparing. When was the last time you were pampered? How about the last time you met up with a girlfriend for coffee or a movie? Do you have any hobbies? Do you read?
Give this some thought this week. YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!
