Sometimes it feels safe to eat the same foods again and again....the same lunch, the same chicken recipe or the same walking route. The problem is we can get bored with the same ol' same' ol. Boredom often leads to temptations that don't help our weight loss.
It's important to mix things up and keep our excitement and enthusiasm for healthy living.
How about instead of plain chicken breast you try chicken sausage or ground chicken or turkey. Have you tried any new greens for a salad or are you stuck on head lettuce? There are so many whole grains and whole wheat pastas in the supermarket. Have you tried quinoa? orzo? couscous? When was the last time you tried a new herb or spice? A quick Google search of WW recipes will lead you to hundreds, if not thousands of recipes.
If you are a walker keep mixing it up! Add 2-3 minutes of vigorous walking or slow jogging to get your heart rate up. Walk with a friend who can keep you a bit challenged. Wear a pedometer to track your steps and keep increasing them. On a rainy day put in a workout video and use some different muscles.
