Jingle Bell Walk/Run
The 5k Jingle Bell Walk/Run for arthritis is a worthy cause and fun to put your feet into action! It is only 3.1 miles and is a nationwide effort to raise money for arthritis. Do you know arthritis doesn't just effect older people?
The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases says a 2008 report from the showed nearly 300,000 children age 17 and younger are affected with arthritis or other rheumatic conditions; of those, an estimated 50,000 have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.
I believe my son is going to set up a team for the Portland, Oregon area. You can find information at this link:
2010 Portland Jingle Bell Run/Walk. The date is December 5.
To find a run/walk near you check out this link. Arthritis Foundation Jingle Bell Run/Walk.
Get a group of friends or family together, ties on your bells, wear your elf hat and move!!
