My son set up a team to walk or run in the Jingle Bell Run in Portland on Sunday. It is always a festive event. This is all three of us after the race. I was so thrilled that I came in at 32 minutes, 29 seconds. I've never finished a 5k under 35 minutes and I felt good while running it.
That's my daughter on the left in red and green- almost to the finish line.
Out of 3300 walkers and runners I'd have to say at least half try and dress up a little. I wore an elf hat and striped elf stockings. That was my contribution to the festivities. Ho-Ho-Ho!!
How will you stay active this December?
Lori,
ReplyDeleteLooks cold, but a lot of fun. I wish I were a real runner instead of entering events once to twice a year. my running is always mixed with my four mile walks except in the winter. I do get a St Judes run in in Feb in our home town and some running on the treadmill which I hate.
Your doing so good, a great mentor to our team!
good for you..I am doing the holiday 1/2 5 k next weekend.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun way to get warm. Well done on the PB!
ReplyDeleteWell done - I am just trying to keep moving forward this month. The cold and short days is making me have treadmill envy!
ReplyDeleteYoehoe, well done. I can't wait to get back to running, since I started to love it...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all of you, I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteAre you running the Holiday Half Sunday morning? I'll be there. My outfit is halfway in the works. I have awesome red & white striped socks with faux fur tops. I will be wearing the race shirt...which is very festive. I'm not sure about a hat, though. I don't like running with anything but my visor. Hmmmm. I need to think it through. lol
