We had an awesome day for hiking on Sunday. We chose a place that wasn't too far to drive. So many people think of Oregon as wet and green. Here is typical high desert where I live in Oregon. We get only about 10" precipitation a year.

The Deschutes river is a popular place for fly fishing.

I love this photo. Because no cars can go on this "road" we saw a lot of fishermen and fisherwomen riding bikes. It seems a little tricky with the waders on!
My new hiking boots have 6 miles on them now.  Trying to get them broke in before the big hike in August.

I'm not very good at photoshop, but it was fun changing these up a little.

  1. Beautiful scenery..is that in Warm Springs? or up farther? What hike are you doing in August? Love the pics..

  2. Looks beautiful and by the way - you look so fit and strong in that photo!

  3. I must chime in and agree with other comments-beautiful photos and you look very healthy-strong! Good for you!

  4. Lori, your photo's are beautiful. Looks like a great place to hike. Thanks for sharing.
