Last October I ran my first half marathon. I really thought it would be my last too. You know, something you do once and feel good about it. Hmmm, so why have I signed up for my 3rd half marathon? Why not. It's a great way to keep me motivated to keep running and stay fit.
There is only 6 weeks to train. My first week I've been sick. It's not starting out good, but I'll be hitting it hard when I'm well. I'm not planning on smashing any records or even going faster than the first two, and I'm completely fine with that. My daughter is doing it with me this year. I'm trying to talk my son's girlfriend into as well. It is a good way for all of us to encourage one another to keep moving. What are you doing as summer turns to fall to stay fit?
That is so cool, Lori! Yay! I have joined a yoga class and in the morning I will be in a kick boxing. I still get my walks but now that its darker at 6 am and dove season, I have to wear my gun and its harder to run. Hope all is well with you!

How fun to do the race with your daughter! Is so great to have the encouragement and accountability. Hope you're feeling better quickly! I just did my second half on Monday - woohoo! Debating whether to do another one in November....
ReplyDeleteI really wanted to do this run but we had a date conflict. I am planning to add back the cross training now that our race is done.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to Cape Cod in 2 weeks to run the Zooma Women's Race with 2 of my daughters and my grandaughter...Talk about fun!! We are so excited!
