Heaven Can Wait!

Heaven Can Wait is the name of a local race to support Sara's Project, breast health education and outreach. Today was the 14th annual 5k race and they are close to raising 1 million dollars.
Saturday I volunteered at packet pick up.

I love how everyone gets involved!!

It was a very busy 3 hours.

Close to 4000 runners and walkers show up at Drake Park for the race. They have everyone who is not a cancer survivor to kneel, which leaves the survivors standing. Always an emotional time.

Did I mention packet pickup was right next door to Footzone? I was several hundred miles overdue for a new pair. I started the break-in period at the race today!
