Smart Coach

I will be running this half marathon on my 50th birthday in May! I thought I'd find a training schedule online and adjust it to suit my needs. I finally found one that isn't quite so generic, and one size fits all.
It lets me put in my previous race time, race date, and how hard I want to train. You can find it at
Runner's World- it's called Smart Coach. There is a free version and a pay version. Free works just fine for me!
Are you running any races this year? Which ones? I'd love to know!! Do you use a training plan?

  1. Thanks for this link. I have looked at plans before but I want to customize my plan to my work schedule.
BTW - that pesky word verification is turned on for this blog :)

  3. Lori.....I've done several 10k's but will be doing the Iron Girl 1/2 marathon on April 29th. I'm a little nervous since it's my first. Thanks for the training info. I'm doing it with 2 of my daughters and I'll be 64 in June. Am I crazy????

  4. Cathy, you do not have an email that I can respond to, so I hope you see this message. (shoot me off an email if you want)

I love that you are doing a 1/2 and are 64! Nothing crazy about that!! I look forward to hearing how it goes.
